Nicole W asked:

I know plasma will happen in a microwave. I’m not trying this experiment but I just want to know what will happen. Will it kill the microwave? What if the candles weren’t lit? I’m just curious exploring microwaves and plasma.
Like if I microwave it for one minute. What will happen?

You would have ruined somebody’s birthday.
The heat generated on the cake will melt the candles and unless you intend to give candle laced cake to your visitors, you would be so unhappy with what happens.

Candles won’t melt in a 1 - 3 minute cooking but anything with sugar is gonna be a mess. And hot!

    Keep the kids back.
